My Process

How we work together

Every engagement starts with a strategy session. Think of it as equal parts map-making, excavation, and therapy for your book idea. We'll figure out where you are, who you want to become as an author, and what kind of support will get you there.

Step by Step

What working together actually looks like

01

Strategy Session

We start with a conversation, not a contract.

A strategy session is one hour, and costs $250. Most people come in thinking about the book they want to write—but I'll also grill you about the type of author you want to become. By the end of the session, you'll not only have clarity on next steps, you'll know the role you want to play in your readers' lives for many years to come.

02

Proposal & Scope

A custom proposal built around your book.

If you decide you'd like to work with me, I'll put together a proposal outlining the scope of work, timeline, and investment. Every project is different—a ghostwritten book requires a different process than a manuscript critique or a coaching package.

I'll be honest about what your book needs and what I can realistically deliver.

03

Deep Dive

I immerse myself in your work and your world.

For ghostwriting and editing projects, I spend significant time learning your voice, your methodology, and your audience before writing a single word. This means in-depth interviews, reviewing your existing material, and understanding the transformation you're offering readers.

For coaching, this phase is about understanding where you are in your writing and what skills you need to master in order to progress.

04

Writing & Revision

Drafts, feedback loops, and refinement.

Depending on the engagement, I'll deliver draft chapters on a rolling basis or work through your existing manuscript section by section. Every draft is followed by a feedback session—you'll always know exactly where we are and what comes next.

I keep your voice at the center of every revision. If something doesn't sound like you, I rewrite it until it does.

05

Final Manuscript

A book you're proud to put your name on.

We wrap up with a polished, publication-ready manuscript and a clear path forward—whether that's querying agents, approaching publishers, or self-publishing. I'll give you my honest assessment of the market and where your book fits in it.

Many clients continue working with me after the book is done, turning it into courses, workshops, and speaking content. The book is just the beginning—you'll also walk away with a new understanding of the legacy you want to leave in the world.

Good to Know

Who I work best with

I work with people who are total nerds about using their knowledge to help others—and who are ready to be challenged on how they're presenting it. My best clients come in with strong ideas and an open mind. They want to be guided, not just validated. If you're attached to every word you've already written, we might drive each other crazy. If you're willing to be surprised by what your book could become, we'll get along beautifully.

My clients include:

  • Therapists, psychologists, and counselors

  • Doctors and healthcare professionals

  • Coaches, teachers, and mindfulness instructors

  • Researchers who want to reach general readers

  • Experts with a system or framework to share
